Pixli makes a pocket robot for people who run coding agents. It tells you the second an agent stalls, blocks on a permission, or fails — and gives you four keys to answer it, wherever you happen to be standing.
The idea came from a plain observation: agents are supposed to work while you don't, and instead they keep you at your desk, because the only place you can answer them is in front of the screen. A dashboard on a second monitor does not fix that. Something you can carry does.
The industrial design went through eight revisions before anything was costed. The enclosure, the 80 × 60 dot matrix, the key pitch and the twelve interchangeable caps are all derived from a single reference model, and every departure from it is written down with its reason. That discipline is the reason the object looks the way it does.
The software follows the same rule as the hardware: the robot hosts nothing and runs no model. Your machine does the work. The device shows state and sends button presses, which is why it can be small, silent, and last a day on a charge.
